During a strong thunderstorm in Tucson, ArizonaBryan Snider Photography captured a wet microburst on camera. We aren't the only ones who were completely captivated by this phenomenon—his timelapse video quickly went viral since being posted last week. Watch as rain quickly falls from the sky—the sun illuminates the microburst so you can see the exact moment it hits the ground.

Microbursts are dangerous in small areas since they suddenly release high power winds. As you can see, there's a sort of ripple effect that happens next that's so dramatic it will make you look at a storm in a whole new light.

Although you probably see countless weather photos anytime you're on social media, this video has a special quality that sets it apart. Perhaps it's because it so clearly depicts what a microburst is, beyond just a term we hear when we turn on the Weather Channel. If one thing is for sure, next time there's a thunderstorm in our area, we'll be watching its beauty... safely indoors from a window, that is.
