UPDATE, March 26: The Daily Beast is reporting that while ISIS is active in Tunisia and claiming responsibility for attacks, it has not actually seized control over the towns and places where Star Wars was shot. More here.

March 25: Something worse than the Empire has hit Tatooine: the Islamic State has taken over the town.

According to The Guardian, ISIS has set up an arms depot in Tataouine, the town in Tunisia where multiple Star Wars films have set up shop. Thanks to its proximity to the Libyan border, the area has seen a spike in instability as ISIS attempts to gain a foothold in the region.

The terrorist group is using it as a major arms depot, with one haul netting "20,000 rounds of ammunition and rocket-propelled grenade launchers," according to The Guardian. They're also reporting that some people are still hoping to keep the country's tourism industry alive, which is a major part of the nation's economy. Supporters are hashtagging it #JeSuisBardo, named after a recent ISIS raid in the region.
