For Star Wars day this year, Wired did something terrific and horrible. First they built a gigantic LEGO replica of a Star Destroyer. And then they demolished it in glorious, cringe-inducing slow motion.
That initial slow-mo crash is sort of majestic in its wanton destruction, and mesmerizing enough that you can almost forget the true horror of what's going on. But at the end of the video when the show it at normal speed? Ugh, my soul hurts.
