Google has a new tool for students and teachers, one that could be a game changer for the classroom.

The Chromebit looks a bit like a long USB drive and comes fully equipped with a Chrome OS installation inside. Plug it into any monitor with an HDMI outlet, whether that's a TV or another display, and you've got a simple working computer. Hook up add-ons like a keyboard or mouse via bluetooth.

The candy bar-sized computer, produced by ASUS, will retail for less than $100. (The lowest priced Chromebook costs $149). Chromebit is equipped with 16 GB of storage space, a USB 2.0 port, 2 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a Rockchip RK3288 processor. They're set to debut later this summer.
