While Amazon is trying to get clearance to have its drones delivering small packages in 30 minutes or less, other folks are pursuing some slightly more questionable quadcopter goals. Thorstin Crijns here is trying to make a copter he can use to deliver himself. It works, but I wouldn't blame you if you don't want to ride it.

Not technically a quadcopter, though similar in spirit, this horrific beast can generate 282 pounds of thrust, more than enough to lift an exceedingly unsafe person a few feet into the air. It sports very minimal autopilot software that keeps the otherwise basic frame of metal and spinning death blades from totally flipping over. Other insane people have experimented with this sort of design before, but I'll never understand what would possess one to sit above the spinning blades.
