Students and geologists at Syracuse University grilled steaks over lava. No big deal.

Part stunt, part educational demo for the school's Lava Project, this literally might be the fastest way to cook a T-bone. (The four cuts immediately start sizzling once the liquid hot magma flows beneath them.)

You definitely don't need to be a science nerd (or Austin Powers fan) like me to enjoy the video. It's a killer stunt, especially once the flames really start kicking up (around 2:41) and the grill grates are loaded up with salmon filets and hot dogs. If you make it through the entire video, you'll be rewarded: One of the scientists sears a steak by dunking it in the molten lava!
